The President’s Statement Regarding the Carson City Shootings

Today at about 9:00 AM PST a gunman opened fire on innocent bystanders in
a shopping center in Carson City, Nevada, just 25 minutes west of our nation.
Several people were wounded and four were killed, among them members of
the Nevada National Guard, an organization that I had the honor to serve with
for 15 years. Among the deceased is one of my very best friends, a young 
lady I have known and worked with for many years. As Molossia's official baker, she has been a tireless supporter of our nation and one of our greatest fans.  And now she is gone, taken from us in an act of senseless violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of all of the victims of today's attack, not the least of those to the individuals that suffered a pointless and untimely death at the hands of a madman.

I have ordered the Molossian flag to be flown at half-staff for the next 
three days in remembrance of our fallen friends. I ask that we should all 
remember these brave souls and keep them in our hearts, as well to cry out 
against the mindless violence that took them from us, so far before their 
time.
